How this viewer gets its data
The viewer asks a public profile for the stories that are currently active and arranges them in posting order — oldest active first, newest last. It reads the public story set only; it does not sign in, follow, or open anything a private account restricts.
Stories are temporary, so the feed reflects a moment in time. Each reload re-requests the profile’s live set, which is why the result changes through the day as stories are posted and expire.
What a typical result looks like
An active public profile often has anywhere from one to a handful of live stories at once; busy accounts covering an event may have a dozen or more. Many profiles have none active at a given moment — that is normal, not an error.

Why does a profile show no story?
Either nothing is currently active on that profile, or the account is private. The viewer works with public profiles only.
Does it refresh automatically?
It reflects what is live when you load it. Reload the page to pull the profile’s latest active stories.
What result can appear after a lookup?
The viewer can show a scrollable public result, an empty result, or a notice that the profile is private. It only reads content the profile has made public.
What can this viewer not do?
Shows only stories that are currently active and public — expired stories are gone, not hidden. Cannot open a private account’s stories; those are visible only to approved followers inside Instagram. Reflects the snapshot at load time, not a live auto-updating stream; reload for the newest set.
